80 世纪年代，中国边境伴随着改革之风，口岸贸易又恢复了翡翠交易。中国的昆明、瑞丽、广州、宛町、盈江、腾冲建立了多个翡翠交易集
散地。由于，关税过高造成的，交易量仍然不抵清迈。90 世纪年代，缅甸政府奉行开放的政策，取消了限制翡翠自由贸易的禁令，外国人可
以在面对瓦城进行交易，减少了中间环节。首都仰光也不断召开翡翠原石拍卖会。第二大城市瓦城也正在成为最好的翡翠原料集散中心。

Jade has a large-scale mining history for several centuries.The English name ( Jadeite) implicats that:it could be the
jewel in the treatment of lumbar diseases. Now the jade trade has been extended from the vast land of China to

There are many stories about jade in the history.In the ancient times The King of Qin willing to use 15 cities to
exchange for one jade–HeShiBi.That’s one of the famous stories in the Chinese history. As an old saying”Better a

The ore mine which lies in northern of Burma nears to China and it originally attached to China.But the jade
distribution places located in western Yunnan Province of China were banned at the beginning of the 20th
century.That’s why the jade industry got slump nearly one hundred years by man.From then, to survive many
jade businessmen who really up a tree went to south at all costs and founded a new distribution center of jade in
Chiang Mai of Thailand where was far from place of origin more than 1000 kilometers.Up to now after decades of
construction,the place changes from a wilderness village to a world-famous jade market.And Chiang is quickly
becoming the second largest city in Thailand while Tengchong of China is getting decline gradually. About 80 percent
jade stones of Burma are all shipped to different areas around the world from here.But the spectacles what we
can see are those:the open country ,the complete order,the religious belief, the bright ruby,the beautiful scenery
and many precious jade stones.
In the 1980s,the frontier trade of jade recover again with the policy of reform and opening.At the same time many
jade trade-market had bulit such as Kunming,Ruili,Guangzhou,Wanding,Yingjiang,Tengchong and so on.But all the
quantity of trade was lsee than Chiang Mai’s because of the heavy tariffs.Later on the government of Burma opened
the door to the world and lifted the ban of jade trade in the 1990s. So the foreigners can traded the jade personally
in Mandalay without any troubles.The capital Yangon held the jade stone auction continually while the second
largest city of Burma ---Mandalay was becoming the best raw material distribution center of jade .
